Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Aunty Sarah?
I’m a proud cat owner of 5 furrbabies as well as a long term volunteer & home visitor for a local animal rehoming charity!
2 of my cats take medication daily so am happy to administer pills / medication. I also have 1 cat with anxiety & separation issues caused by abuse so am used to cats with character & am happy to work with the slightly harder to please & shy clients.
I have plenty of time for a cat cuddle (& don’t mind a bit of cat hair!), as well as feeding, cleaning litter trays & other general cat care!
Each cat has different requirements, so I’m happy to take instructions & discuss your babies likes & dislikes.
Will you meet me & my cat before the sitting?
Yes, I always carry out a meet & greet with you before the booking. I always prefer the cat to be in when I do this, so you can see our initial meeting. I also usually collect keys on this visit & leave you with the paperwork needed.
Will I know my cat's okay while I’m away?
Of course, I send daily photos & send an update of what we have done that day. That way you can see that your cat is happy & safe while you’re away. I don’t expect a reply, I just like to know you are kept updated. I can either send this by Whatsapp or email.
Why would I use a cat sitter & not a cattery?
A cat sitter allows your cat to stay in their own surroundings & keep their routine as normal as possible. It also means your cat is not surrounded by noises & smells they aren’t used to, which helps to keep their stress levels to an absolute minimum. It also allows for a one to one experience when it comes to attention & lets them enjoy play & fuss time all to themselves.
What if my cat is ill while I’m away?
I always need a vet release form completed. This means if anything should happen while you are away I can arrange for a vets visit which allows for the quickest treatment possible. It also means if the worst should happen, your furry family are treated with the upmost respect that they deserve.
